Meet Coach, Ron-Ella McLendon
Tell us how you got into entrepreneurship.
I got into entrepreneurship because I desired both time and financial freedom. The hours I spent putting in work for someone else's businesses, I needed that same time to put into my own. I wanted to decide what my salary would be for my experience and skillset, and not what someone else thought it should be based on what they thought my value was.
What’s one of the greatest accomplishments you have achieved in your business and what was key to seeing this success?
I got into entrepreneurship because I desired both time and financial freedom. The hours I spent putting in work for someone else's businesses, I needed that same time to put into my own. Where do you see yourself in the next 3-5 years?
The next 3-5 years will be me exploring and becoming successful in the world of real estate! I've always wanted to build a business and empire in that area, so that's where I'm headed.
What do you love most about being a CEO Chick?
Oh wow! I love the energy, the sisterhood, the way everyone loves on and pours into each other both personally and professionally. You're never alone. There is always someone there to answer a question, put you on the right path and even listen to you as a sister. The greatest experience I've had being a CEO Chick was when we were in Orlando and simultaneously, we all started singing the Golden Girls Theme Song...that's when I knew this was the place for me!
Who inspires you?
My dad always have and always will.
What is your favorite book/podcast you recommend to our CEO Chicks?
"There Is Nothing Wrong With Saying So What" by Ella Destiny! This is my book I wrote a year ago when both of my parents were hospitalized on their 47th wedding anniversary. My mom survived but my dad unfortunately passed away. I wrote this book as a reminder to myself that there's a purpose for my pain and God can't use it if it's a secret. No matter what we are going through, have been through or will go through, there's nothing new under the sun. It's happened before in the bible, and that's how we can say, "SO WHAT"!! If it can happen to them and God brought them through it, he can do it for me too.
What advice would you give other aspiring entrepreneurs?
First and foremost, partner with God. You can't do it without Him. Be patient with yourself and the process because it is a process, and lastly, don't measure where you are in business according to someone else's success. What's for you is for you and your time when come when it's supposed to, how it's supposed to.
How has the CEO Chick network impacted your business?
Oh man! The courses and tips and tools that are made available to us has taken me a long way in my business. I've learned a better way of marketing to get the results I've desired. My sales have increased, I've been booked for more interviews and speaking engagement having the right team, knowing how to package and present my products and services and so much more. I would encourage anyone wanting to know all there is to know about business and entrepreneurship, to join the network, spend time taking the courses, jump on the lives. All of these things come with membership and readily available for us to use.
How can people connect with you and your products/services?

Meet Realtor & Business Owner, Mayra Cordero
Tell us how you got into entrepreneurship.
My very first entrepreneurial endeavor was in 2011 when I opened my online shoes and accessories store called "Classsix Shoes & Accessories" I converted one of the extra rooms in my house then into a boutique with wall units, displays and even a round chaise for fitting. (I'm emotional just remembering this now). It was by far the BEST experience ever. Having studied a little Fashion in my early years, this was a Dream Come True! Unfortunately, after a few years life happened, and I had to close it down and bulk sell the inventory I had left. In 2015 I was introduced to Network Marketing and that is when I learned that there was a fire within me just waiting to shine brighter and I was able to build a small team and achieved some significant ranking. It really opened my eyes to becoming my OWN BOSS and thanks to that experience in 2015 and the mentors I had surrounding me then, I began to prepare myself so I could someday resign from my 9-5. In August of 2021, I was able to say goodbye to a 20 year long career and embrace Entrepreneurship going 100% in on my Real Estate business. AND here I AM following my heart and building my legacy!
What’s one of the greatest accomplishments you have achieved in your business and what was key to seeing this success?
In my current business as a Realtor, I would say my biggest achievement has been helping so many families get into their home for the very first time when they did not think they could. I never give up on any family. Their trust in me is key because together we make many impossible, possible. Their testimonies shared has continued to provide me referral business and the opportunity to collaborate with lenders and Realtors out of state that provide me their referrals relocating to Florida. My goal is to be always "Making a Difference One Interaction at a Time" by being myself and putting my skill and knowledge to help others.
Where do you see yourself in the next 3-5 years?
In Real Estate I see myself in the Luxury Home arena and International. In my personal I see myself with a book and as a motivational/inspirational speaker.
What do you love most about being a CEO Chick?
The opportunity to be in a community amongst like-minded women looking to do better for themselves and also encouraging others through our stories.
Who inspires you?

Meet MSN, APRN, FNP-C, CLT Owner & CEO, Leandra Long
Tell us how you got into entrepreneurship.
I became an entrepreneur because I wanted more for myself, I felt stagnate at my 9-5 and felt like there was more for me to do, more people for me to help. I thought about what God had given me at the point of where I was. I have been in the healthcare field for more than 20years in different capacities. First as a patient care tech, then a Registered Nurse and progressed to an Advance Register Nurse Practitioner for the last 5 1/2 years specifically in Vascular Surgery. In my current position I recognized that there was a huge lack of certified lymphedema therapist. The surgeons I worked with had no idea who to send their patients to for help and how to obtain the right resources. That got my wheels turning on how I can help this specific patient population, help people live a healthier life and make money doing it. I did my research on lymphedema, became a certified Lymphedema therapist, started my own practice Lymphatic Aesthetics "L.A." Wellness Center, LLC was born, and the rest is history.
What’s one of the greatest accomplishments you have achieved in your business and what was key to seeing this success?
One of the greatest accomplishments God has allowed me to achieve in my business is actually starting the business in the first place. Stepping out on faith, trusting and believing that God gave me the vision and the desire to own my own business to impact the community and help others. I didn't know where to start, through researching the internet following others in the industry and reading educational material, God has literally guided me and allowed me to stumble upon exactly what I needed to get started and to keep going. Through knowing what training programs to invest in, filing for my business LLC, establishing business credit, opening business accounts, finding someone to develop the business website and business cards. I believe the key to my sucess thus far is my drive and dedication for my vision to come to life and most importantly my faith and trust in God.
Where do you see yourself in the next 3-5 years?
In the next 3-5 years I see myself completely dedicated to running my business meaning, no more 9-5. I see myself has a highly sought out health care professional that is dominating in her field of lymphology, post-operative surgical care and body contouring. I see myself knowing the ins and outs of the industry and helping others with their journey. I can picture myself establishing multiple streams of income, building generational wealth and most importantly setting an example for my daughters.
What do you love most about being a CEO Chick?
I love being around like-minded women. Women who are about hard work and making things happen, go getters, women who strive for excellence and CEO Chicks is all that and more. I have been watching CEO Chicks for a while and first opportunity to interact with these ladies was at the Master Mind Event in Orlando with keynote speaker Cynthia Bailey. The energy at the event was like non other but what really made me buy in and literally gave me goose bumps was when the CEO Coleen was speaking and encouraging the ladies at the event. The power and the anointing she have on her life is amazing. All I keep saying to myself is I need to be in this circle, these are the women I need to surround myself with, ones that are about business and are faith guided. The scripture Iron sharpens Iron also led me to join that very night. One of the other things I like about CEO Chicks are the resources that are available to me. Resources that have helped me continue to build my brand and business and not just any resources but relevant education that I need to help grow and learn in the business arena.
Who inspires you?
Knowing that I have two daughters that look up to me inspires me. They inspire me to do my best, to be my best because I know they are watching me makes me want to always put my best foot forward. I am also inspired by knowing that I am and can making a difference in others' lives.
What is your favorite book/podcast you recommend to our CEO Chicks?
I don't have a favorite book, but I do read the bible daily. I love inspirational books like God's promises and answers for women by J. Countryman and Victory Decrees by Jennifer LeClaire.
What advice would you give other aspiring entrepreneurs?
My advice for aspiring entrepreneurs is even if you are afraid, do it anyway, because fear is the enemy trying to discourage and delay you from what God has birth inside you. God gave you the vision, he wouldn't have, if he didn't believe you couldn't handle it. He already made the provision; the resources are already there; you just need to have faith and trust in him. Don't get discourage when things don't always work out the way you thought it should. 9 times out of 10 the alternate way was better. Remember all things work together for your good.
How has the CEO Chick network impacted your business?
The educational resources that are available to me has helped me understand important aspects of being a business owner. From knowing how to develop funneling, to how to drive people to my website to learning what copy right and trade marking is all about. Being a part of this network has also allowed me to develop new relationships with other women business owners.
