Meet the Founder of Personameant Solutions, LLC, Sylvia Glanton

Tell us how you got into entrepreneurship.

In 2016, I became a victim of Identity theft and it felt like my life was over. I had no money, no credit, a job I hated, and BIG GOALS. Something had to give. I began working on my credit and turned it into my passion. I was recovering from bad credit due to identity theft. It was the most terrifying incident to happen to me personally. How could someone still my personal information and use it to obtain $21,000 worth of debt? I began to notice new inquiries on my report, but like most consumers, I ignored the warning signs, since the thought never crossed my mind that I could even get credit with my scores. I had just defaulted on a $4,000 credit card with Navy Federal, no one would give me anything at this point. Soon enough I received a notification from credit karma for a car valued at $13,000 reporting past due. Then came along $8,000 in furniture including a new 50” TV, a sectional, and a brand new washer and dryer. I immediately called the most popular credit repair company at that time and inquired about their services, I couldn’t afford to add on another bill at that time so I had to figure it all out. Their customer service did not help gain me as a customer either. I called the police department, the car dealership, the furniture store, and anyone who I thought could help me find the person who did this to me. Thank goodness she was found and prosecuted. Do you know what kept me sane throughout this whole ordeal? The fact that I could use my knowledge to help other people is when I made up in my mind that this was part of my testimony. I helped my friends and family for an entire year before I established Personameant Solutions, LLC. I became certified and studied all of the laws pertaining to consumer laws. I’ve invested time and energy to perfect my craft. I began my journey as an entrepreneur in 2017 when I launched my credit repair business.

What’s one of the greatest accomplishments you have achieved in your business and what was key to seeing this success?

The greatest accomplishment that I have achieved thus far was learning how to help those around me recover from poor credit. In 2016, I called my parents and told them I had fixed my own credit and I wanted to fix theirs too. Of course, they were hesitant, but I knew that it was possible. My credit went from a 546 to a 742 once I learned how to write my own dispute letters and send them to these companies. I removed over $30k in fraudulent accounts in a year. Not long after I started working on their credit within 6 months, they were hearing the words "You're Approved" ‼ The best part is the house was built from the ground up and they picked out every aspect from the cabinets to the light fixtures. Their dream was finally happening.


Where do you see yourself in the next 3-5 years?

In the next 3-5 years I see myself as a high-level operations manager for 6 + figure businesses. I would love to make the transition by assisting them with workflows and automation. Since starting my business I have taught myself how to build websites, and funnels, and set up automation for various businesses. So much so that my credit repair business requires very little manual assistance.

What do you love most about being a CEO Chick?

I love that there are high-level thinkers in this community. It will always be someone to learn from.


Who inspires you?

I am inspired by God's grace to continue giving me chance after chance no matter how many times I fall short.


What is your favorite book/podcast you recommend to our CEO Chicks?

My favorite book currently is "Rich Dad Poor Dad."


What advice would you give other aspiring entrepreneurs?

I would say go into business thinking as the overseer, not the worker, and always document the process so that it can be repeated by someone else in your absence.
