Meet CPR Franchise Owner, Kiana Dancie

Tell us how you got into entrepreneurship.

It's been ingrained in me to always be my own boss. I recall my mom having a business since I was a child. My mom had a private makeup label, when I was younger and even a boutique called Very Unique.

What’s one of the greatest accomplishments you have achieved in your business?

My greatest accomplishment as a business owner was surviving the pandemic. My business partners and I pivoted to be able to sustain when the entire world shutdown. Being a CPR Franchise owner is an accomplishment in itself. My mother and I are the ONLY 2 single black female owners within the organization.

Where do you see yourself in the next 3-5 years?

Well! I pray that I will be a wife and a mother. I also will be speaking all over the world with my Baggage Claim Worldwide Women's Empowerment Celebration and I would have grown my Non-Profit, B.A.G.S. (Becoming A Guiltless Survivor) to an ultimate level. My goal with "Baggage Claim is to provide a safe place for women to release the emotional baggage that has hindered them from becoming their best self! My non-profit, B.A.G.S. (Becoming A Guiltless Survivor) mission statement is to steer women to mental health professionals, who have been held hostage by their emotional, physical and mental baggage by themselves or their partners.

What do you love most about being a CEO Chick?

I write my own check. Although, I have a team, most days, I make the final decisions.

Who inspires you?

My mother. She is literally my greatest inspiration in my life. I work very hard to leave a legacy and it makes me very proud knowing that that I can.

What is your favorite book/podcast you recommend to our CEO Chicks?

Well 1st and foremost , my book of course! "BYE BYE BAGS - LAUGHING TO LIGHTEN THE LOAD!" and I love "The Most Powerful Women In The Room Is You", by Lydia Fenet and "48 Laws of Power" by Robert Greene. I love Sara Jakes and RC Blakes youtube channels.

What advice would you give other aspiring entrepreneurs?

My advice would be to always have a plan B. C. D. E. and EVEN F!!! This is because life will do what it supposed to do and that is continue and throw hardballs at you. Its not about how many times you get hit, but how you respond after getting hit!

What does this opportunity mean to you?

It means EVERYTHING to me to featured amongst my peers and other CEO's I can glean industry tips and trick from! I understand the importance of surrounding myself with powerful, enlightened and enterprising women. It feels good to have a seat at the table with not only my equals but my sisTARS!
